To discuss about the prepared plans to help ensure a reliable power supply before, during and after the national elections on May 2016, NPC led by President Ma. Gladys Cruz-Sta. Rita, Vice President for SPUG Edmundo Veloso and the SPUG Mindanao Operations gathered electric cooperatives from Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi (BASULTA) provinces in a meeting today in Zamboanga City.
NPC presented the power outlook in the areas and announced the granting of 1.5 MW additional capacities to the three provinces. Small areas in BASULTA on the other hand will get additional 9 generating sets from NPC. These gensets were already delivered in NPC SPUG Zamboanga Office and are ready for distribution.
Also present in the meeting are representatives from Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative and NPC’s managers and plant heads in Western Mindanao. Another one (1) 80 kw unit will also be deployed to the island of Sacol in Zamboanga City.
