To ensure proper maintenance of planted seedlings in the watershed, NPC's Buhi-Barit Watershed Area Team launched Adopt a Forest project in partnership with Buhi Rural Waterworks and Sanitation Multi Purpose Cooperative (BRWASA-MPC).
The project which was sealed by a Memorandum of Partnership will ensure that the planted seedlings are regularly watched over and will grow to be a tall, sturdy tree. It will plant a total of 5,100 seedlings of mahogany and narra in 3 hectares of land in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Buhi, Camarines Sur.
As a cooperative that provides water for domestic use in the municipality, BRWSA-MPC initiated to partner with NPC-BBWAT to protect and sustain the continuity of water supply in their reservoir facility.
