Caliraya-Lumot Watershed Area Team (CLWAT) under the Watershed Management Department of the National Power Corporation (NPC) conducted a regular monitoring on Tiger Grass Establishment and Softbroom Making Livelihood Project of Sitio Calminaue Upland Farmers Association (SCUFA).

The purpose of the activity is to determine the status of the established Tiger Grass plantations. Also for the updates on the progress and development of the association and project.

Established Tiger Grass plantations exhibit improvement and development. Tiger Grass exhibits good growth, good foliage, produces more clumps, stems are getting bigger, and starting to produce panicles for flowering. Some of the members were able to harvest Tiger Grass panicles/flowers for soft broom making last March to June. Currently, members are waiting for the Tiger Grass to produce new panicles and flowers for their next harvest.
