Pantabangan-Carranglan Watershed Area Team (PCWAT) and Philippine Carabao Center - National Bull Farm conducted Seedling Dispersal Project and Tree Planting Activity last August 3 and 9, 2017. This aims to provide seedlings for PCBWPCI members and locals within the Barangays of Sectors 1, 2, and 3 to rehabilitate open-land areas owned by these people. This also aims to engage them in environment-related activities and to make them as partners in conservation and protection of Pantabangan-Carranglan Watershed Forest Reserve.
A total of 1,208 seedlings (400 Sousop, 213 Narra, 195 Mahogany and 400 Maralangka) were given by NPC-PCWAT to Mr. HernandoV. Venturina, Manager of PCC-NBF. In exchange of favor, PCC-NBF provides Carabao's manure for PCWAT's Vermi-Compost that gives additional nutrients to typical soil and helps sustain plant growth. NPC-PCWAT continuously dispersing available seedlings to the community in order to promote conservation and protection of the environment, specifically the Pantabangan-Carranglan Watershed Forest Reserve or PCWFR.
