NPC President & CEO celebrates one year in office, rallies employees to realize more dreams
In celebration of the first anniversary of President Pio J. Benavidez as NPC President and CEO, the NPC family on Monday gathered together for a thanksgiving mass led by Rev. Fr. Mario C. Ladra.
In his message, President Pio mentioned the big wins of the corporation for the past year and emphasized the collective effort of everyone in achieving them. These achievements include the Corporation's healthy financial position during the past year, the overall increase in operational performance efficiencies of its SPUG power plants and the Agus & Pulangi plants, and the completion of capacity additions, transmission and substation projects for missionary areas. He also highlighted the introduction of hybrid solar-diesel system for SPUG power generation, reduction of interest rates for electric cooperatives, upgrade of IT systems, and updated manuals like the Manual of Approvals and Right-of-Way Manual, among others. He also mentioned, to the delight of the employees the recent milestone on salary adjustment.
He likewise urged the employees to continue dreaming and acting for the corporation. ‘For every dream we realize, a new one must take its place,’ he said as he enumerated the things to aim for as a corporation.
Before ending his message, he reminded the employees of the #iamNPC campaign, a drive that aims to remind employees to instill NPC's core values in their work and rally them towards the same goal.
