NPC conducts seminars on Republic Act Numbers 9184 and 11032

NPC has conducted seminars on Republic Act 9184 or the Government Procurement Reform Act and Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Service Delivery Act.

The sessions were attended by key NPC officials who work along the procurement process and in delivering services to clients.

RA 9184 prescribes the rules and regulations for the modernization, regulation, and standardization of the government’s procurement activities. The seminar was led by Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) recognized trainers that include Engr. Baltazar Cajilig of the Social Security System, Engr. Gilbert Mondroy of Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and Atty. Dexter Macaraig of the Government Service Insurance System.

RA 11032, on the other hand, promotes integrity and accountability among government services to create better management of public affairs and property. It likewise aims to establish a more efficient delivery of services and prevent graft and corruption.

The seminar on RA 11032 was conducted by Atty. Leonardo Tapia and Mr. Marco Angelo Montenegro from the Anti-Red Tape Authority. It will also be the start of NPC’s creating a more comprehensive citizen’s charter.
