As part of its pursuit to promote good governance and accountability in public service, NPCโ€™s Internal Audit Department (IAD) on Wednesday, April 19 engaged in a collaborative learning session with Energy Regulatory Commissionโ€™s (ERC) Internal Audit team.

Led by Senior Department Manager Vedalisa N. Arevalo, the NPC team shared its knowledge and best practices on internal auditing with the recently constituted IAD of ERC. Along with Ms. Arevalo who also contributed their insights were Janet N. Sabado and Ricky R. Navarro, Division Managers of the Operations Audit Division and Management Audit Division, respectively, as well as Lourdes C. Cruz and January R.A. Horiuchi, Internal Auditors/Team Leaders.

The ERC IAD was composed of Alma C. Clemente, Administrative Officer V, Caroline Marie R. Chan, Dianne Marie M. Lipa-od, Irene A. Absalon, Redendo L. Rosario, and Josephine R. Ramos.

NPCโ€™s Internal Audit Department plays a vital role in ensuring that the Corporation is morally sound, efficiently run, and safe from unnecessary risks, among others. The team regularly conducts management audits to evaluate and improve the internal controls, operations, and support services of NPC.
