The National Power Corporation through its Upper Agno River Watershed area team (UARWAT) has recently conducted a learning session on global warming among elementary students of Abucot Integrated School in Barangay Eddet, Kabayan in Benguet.
Patterned after the Department of Educationโs detailed lesson plan to suit the lecture for the pupils, UARWAT discussed an introduction, causes, effects, and how to help mitigate the effects of global warming to grades 3 to 6 pupils.
The activity aimed to imbibe among the participants at a young age the importance of protecting the environment and preserving the forests.
The Upper Agno River Watershed is one of the 11 watersheds being managed by NPC through rehabilitation, protection and resource development programs.
