NPC Lawyers Defend the Environment, Plant Trees in Angat
The lawyers and personnel of the NPC Office of the Legal Counsel has recently conducted tree planting in Angat Watershed as their contribution in preserving the reservation and to the Goodness for Mother Earth Program of the corporation.
Goodness for Mother Earth or G4ME program is an initiative of NPC which encourages all its employees in planting at least 80 trees each to be carbon neutral or the balancing of the carbon dioxide released by a person with an equal or more amount of carbon sequestration.
The personnel from the Legal office were joined by the Angat Watershed Area Team and together, they were able to plant at least 1,200 seedlings of Indigenous species in Hilltop, Barangay San Lorenzo, Norzagaray, Bulacan.
Angat Watershed is a popular bird watching site and is a biodiversity hotspot containing most of the remaining closed-canopy forests in Central Luzon. It is one of the 11 watersheds being managed by NPC.
