NPC Pursues ISO 9001:2015 Certification

NPC moves to continually improve its Quality Management System (QMS) and transition from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015. To pursue this, fifty-eight (58) NPC employees from all functional groups attended the ISO 9001:2015 Full Awareness Course held at the NPC Hotel & Training Center, Bagac, Bataan on 1-2 June 2017.

Conducted by Mr. Mark Golez as Resource Person from AJA Registrars, the 2-day seminar-workshop aimed to familiarize the participants with the changes from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015. The participants would then apply these changes to NPC's preparation for the required transition to ISO 9001:2015.

"Our work is cut out for us," said Mr. Emmanuel A. Umali, Manager of the Watershed Management Department and recently designated Quality Management Representative (QMR) and Chief Risk Officer (CRO). "The task is huge but we are well within the approved timelines. We are counting on our strong top management leadership and teamwork from all concerned functional groups," he added. NPC targets to obtain the ISO 9001:2015 certification by early 2018.

NPC's Training and Development Division organized and facilitated the seminar-workshop.
