NPC Inaugurates New Gensets in Polillo, Quezon
To meet the increasing power demand and sustain the 24/7 operations of Polillo Diesel Power Plant, NPC has inaugurated four (4) 600kW generating sets in the island on Wednesday. The new gensets will benefit more than 5,000 households of Municipalities of Polillo, Burdeos and Panukulan.
A simple program was prepared to mark the momentous event which was attended by local government officials headed by Quezon Vice Governor Sam Nantes, Polillo Mayor Cristina Bosque, and Panukulan Mayor Amado Peñamora, representatives from Quezon Electric Cooperative and some residents.
Mayor Bosque extended her gratitude to NPC for the additional gensets saying, ‘our constituents can now watch primetime TV shows.’ She also stressed that the residents can build or expand local businesses.
