NPC launched today the 24 hour operating hours of its power plant in Pamilacan Island, Bohol as tourists keep flocking the island for dolphin watching and swimming.
Bohol Governor Edgar Chatto and the local government officials joined NPC's Visayas Operations Department team headed by Pete Lorente in the ceremonial switch on of additional generating sets that will help sustain the stable supply of electricity in the island.

The National Power Corporation (NPC) remains a government-owned and -controlled corporation mandated to perform missionary electrification or powering the farthest islands in the archipelago thru its Small Power Utilities Group (SPUG); watershed and dams management in support of power generation; and operations and maintenance of the Agus and Pulangi Hydropower Complexes in Mindanao. It is an attached agency of the Department of Energy (DOE).
