NPC employees affected by Marawi clash receive psycho-social support

NPC employees in Mindanao who were affected by the clash in Marawi City receive psychosocial support from a session organized by the NPC Mindanao Generation CSR Committee. The session, conducted by Professor Alma G. Maranda of the Department of Psychology of Mindanao State University, aims to provide mental health care to the 36 participants.

The employees live in conflict-stricken areas where NPC’s Agus 1 Hydroelectric Power Plant is located.

Psycho-social support is an integral part of health care provided for people who underwent disasters, emergencies or trauma. It includes counselling, education, spiritual support, group support and other services, which are aimed at improving or healing a person’s physical and mental wellness.
