NPC LFI conferred with the Antonio Luna Award for its blood donation drives
The NPC Ladies Foundation, Inc. on Friday, January 25 receives the Antonio Luna Award from the Department of Health and the Philippine Blood Center for collecting over 200 blood donations from October 2017 to September 2018.
The award was received by Foundation President Ambassador Virginia H. Benavidez along with fellow ladies Ms. Eufemia Mendiola and Ms. Nenita Paulino during the Dugong Bayani Awards 2019. The awarding ceremony intends to recognize the commitment and support of blood donor partner agencies in providing safe, adequate and accessible blood for patients who need them and whose lives were saved.
The Foundation also received a plaque of appreciation for its support in the DOH’s advocacy in promoting voluntary blood donation and the conduct of platelet-pheresis drive.
The recognitions highlight the NPC Ladies Foundation’s vision of making tangible difference to the lives of the people it serves.
The Foundation said that it dedicates the awards to the real heroes – their blood donors every quarter at the National Power Corporation. Likewise, the Foundation will continue its blood donation drives to continue saving lives.
