NPC participates in the crafting of the 2018-2027 Distribution Development Plan
NPC through its Corporate Planning Department and Small Power Utilities Group (SPUG) has participated as resource speakers in a series of deliberation of distribution utilities (DUs) in off-grid islands for the crafting of the 2018-2027 Distribution Development Plan (DDP).
The deliberations, which started on April and ended on the first week of July, was sponsored by the Department of Energy and attended by all distribution utilities, the National Electrification Administration, NPC and DOE.
It is an annual activity which aims to assist DUs in crafting their Distribution Development Plan. This workshop also intends to harmonize the data of Electric Coops, NEA and NPC which helps NPC in the preparation of its Missionary Electrification Plan. The DDP is an input to DOE’s Missionary Electrification Development Plan, Transmission Development Plan, Power Development Plan, and the Philippine Energy Plan.
