NPC grants 24/7 power to Tawi-Tawi towns

NPC grants round the clock power service to the towns of Panglima Sugala (formerly Balimbing), Mapun and Sibutu in Tawi-Tawi to further boost economic development in the province.

More than 4,000 households will benefit the extension of service hours from 16 to 24 hours. It is also expected that the 24/7 power supply will aid the households in their livelihood such as fishing, seaweed farming, and agriculture.

The ceremonial switch-on ceremony was led by NPC’s Vice President for SPUG Edmundo A. Veloso along with SPUG Mindanao Operations Department led by Mr. Nestor Flauta. It was also graced by Tawi-Tawi Vice Governor Michail K. Ahaja, Panglima Sugala Vice Mayor Hadji Nagoar A. Salih and Mr. Abdul Jalil S. Umngan of the Mindanao Development Authority.

The corporation’s partners in Tawi-Tawi Electrical Cooperative, Inc. also came to witness the ceremony.
