NPC inaugurates new transmission and substation in Catanduanes
NPC on Thursday, July 25 holds the inauguration and ceremonial switch-on of the 15-km Virac to San Miguel 69 kV transmission line and the 5 MVA Codon substation in Catanduanes.
Leading the ceremony were NPC’s President and CEO Pio J. Benavidez, representatives from the local government unit headed by Congressman Hector Sanchez and Acting Governor Shirley Abundo, and NPC’s partner agencies in powering the province.
NPC said it has allotted 240 million pesos for the completion of the projects which is seen to significantly contribute to a more reliable transfer of power from the power plants to households and establishments.
The Corporation also held the groundbreaking for its 5MVA San Miguel substation.
