NPC rehabs Calapan-Bansud line in Mindoro

NPC has successfully rehabilitated the 84-kilometer Calapan-Bansud 69 kV transmission line in Oriental Mindoro, allowing a more resilient and stable power facility in the province.

A simple program was held on January 29 to mark the momentous event. It was graced by DOE Undersecretary Emmanuel P. Juaneza, Oriental Mindoro First District Representative Doy Leachon, Governor Humerlito Dolor, and ORMECO’s General Manager Atty. Norberto Mendoza.

NPC’s other transmission projects in the region includes the Bansud-Mansalay and Mansalay-San Jose 69 kV transmission lines which will loop the Oriental and Occidental Mindoro provinces. These are targeted to be finished by the end of second quarter this year.

Also present during the program were NPC’s OIC Vice President for Power Engineering Rafael L. Abergas, Project Management Department Manager Nerio G. Somosierra, Project Implementation Group Manager Alex G. Bernabe and SPUG Mindoro-Romblon Manager Maximo A. delos Reyes.
