NPC sends aid to communities hit by TY Odette

Various NPC offices, retired employees, and friends contributed resources and time to send food packages to NPC personnel and communities affected by Typhoon Odette.

Earlier this week, Mr. Pete Llorente, a retired NPC manager, along with NPC-SPUG dispatched two trucks of relief goods going to Bohol.

On January 13, NPC’s Mindanao Generation team, led by VP Edmundo A. Veloso visited Hikdop and Dinagat Diesel Power Plants in Dinagat Islands to personally hand food packs to affected families. The team also went to the islands of Panggapasan, Ubay, Batasan and Bilangbilangan in Bohol to distribute relief packs to the communities.

As reported late last month, NPC’s SPUG Luzon has also donated relief packs to communities and NPC personnel in Palawan.

As of today, NPC continues to restore a portion of the Palawan 69 kV transmission line and 8 other SPUG facilities in Kalayaan Island and Bohol which were severely affected by the typhoon.
