NPC Conducts Water Safety and Rescue Operations Training in Laguna

NPC’s Caliraya-Lumot Watershed Area Team, together with the Provincial Risk Reduction Management Office of Laguna, conducted a three-day training on water safety and rescue operations for Bantay Watershed Task Force Volunteers and resort rescuers from the 11 barangays within the watershed.

The training was held to equip the participants with knowledge and experience in saving lives in times of disaster in or near the man-made twin lakes of Caliraya and Lumot.

The Caliraya-Lumot Watershed supports the private sector-operated Caliraya-Botocan-Kalayaan Hydropower Plants. It is one of the 11 watershed reservations under NPC management.
