On September 30, 2022, Mr. Fernando Martin Y. Roxas rejoined the National Power Corporation as its President and CEO.
Dr. Roxas played an instrumental role in the passage of the EPIRA in 2001 and headed NPC’s Privatization and Restructuring External Offices before opting for early retirement after EPIRA’s enactment.
Dr. Roxas has been a professor for over 20 years at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) where he teaches in the degree and non-degree programs in the areas of Systems Thinking, Operations, Supply Chain Management and Strategy electives. Roxas has also served as a consultant to the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and US Aid.
He has produced several scholarly publications on tourism and sustainable energy and served as the executive director of the Dr. Andrew L. Tan Center for Tourism where he developed training programs on sustainable tourism applications.
Dr. Roxas completed his degree in Geology from the University of the Philippines and his Master’s Degree in Engineering Geology from the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand, both as a scholar. He also obtained a master’s degree in business management from AIM and a doctorate in business administration from De La Salle University with High Distinction.
